I joined the firm in January 2025 having previously worked in a number of local Law firms in the Coventry and Warwickshire area. I was a Partner in a law firm in Rugby for 4 years before leaving to join Kundert’s.
I have practiced as a Solicitor since 2005. Before qualifying as a Solicitor I practiced as a Social Worker in Coventry and Warwickshire. It was whilst working as a Social Worker that I decided to have a change of career. I was interested in the legal aspects of children and family work and therefore undertook a part time law degree whist working part time and bringing up my family.
Since qualifying I have specialised in Public Law. An area I am particularly interested in. I gained accreditation with the Law Society Childrens Panel, in 2012. This is a specialist panel of Solicitors who are particularly interested in and have an expertise in representing children within care proceedings.
As a result of being on the children panel, I can take instructions from children’s Guardians within Public Law proceedings. As well having the ability to represent children I also represent parents within Public Law proceedings. On occasions I have represented grandparents and represented intervenors who intervene in Public Law cases.
Throughout my 22 years of experience in Public Law, I have gained experience in complex cases including non-accidental injuries, sexual abuse and neglect.
I have particular experience in representing parents where there are drug and alcohol issues as well as issues relating to mental health and domestic abuse.
I have also represented clients where there have been international elements to the case.
I have also had experience in representing parents where the Local Authority makes an application for a Deprivation of Liberty Order in respect of children.
Outside of work I enjoy reading, gardening and spending time with my family
